No. That’s a terrible, terrible comparison, and you should feel bad for making it. However, I will fix it for you, and hopefully you will see where you went wrong. 

“What we can’t do is assume that you’re always right all the time about homophobia because you’re gay.” is like saying “What we can’t do is assume that you know you were stabbed just because you’re bleeding.” 

You see the subtle difference? Someone’s bleeding, they say they’ve been stabbed, you want to believe them, they’re probably telling the truth .. but it’s not necessarily true. Right?
