"Mossad agents impersonate CIA officials"

Reblogged from showeringwithbeer

Mossad’s power is not in their skills, scope or ability, but in the fact that they are accountable to no one; that the Israeli state can pretty much act as it sees fit, perform the most treacherous acts imaginable in the name of national security, without any political consequences whatsoever.

"[G]ive the go-ahead for U.S.-based Mossad agents to take out a president deemed unfriendly to Israel in order for the current vice president to take his place, and forcefully dictate that the United States policy includes its helping the Jewish state obliterate its enemies."

From an op-ed by Atlanta Jewish Times owner Andrew Adler on how Israel should deal with a nuclear Iran. Adler has apologized for the column; the Secret Service, however, is still investigating.

(In case you miss it, he’s recommending that the Israeli secret service assassinate Barack Obama on the grounds that he is injurious to their interests; that the function of a US president is to follow Israeli orders or die.)

The reason the Israelis think they are above any law or standard of behavior is because everything that they do and everything they say and everything that happens or doesn’t happen to them supports that view.

Many Israelis and their supporters not only feel this way, but are quite arrogant about defending that indefensible view. And every so often, the mask slips.
